The devils in the details.

I have been working in a sorta cartoony style the last couple of months trying to develope some thing that would suit the animation medium. But as of late I have been doing these more detailed drawings, a little more comic book style I think. Paying a lot of attention to anatomy and perspective, although proportion is off in many cases especially in the leg area. Either way I had fun doing these which I think makes a big difference, design has never been my strong suit and trying to draw in a more animated fashion doesn't come naturally to me. Basically it all comes down to experience, just need to draw more. I'm trying to inprove all aspects of my game, I started coloring the skull thing above in PS, its a lot of fun, but makes me realize that I would learn faster with some direction of someone more experienced in PS rather then me just stumbling my way through it. Something to consider.

Space girls and Blah

I'm searching for something that I think my drawings lack.. and I'm going to call that thing personality. These are some attempts at some ladies. Their are some things going on that I like, but over all they all came out sorta generic. I have started posting again, its been so long this feels like I'm typing this post to myself haha. Their must be something about this that is theraputic. I spent 3 hours today trying to stumble my way through PS painting one of these, it's as much fun as it is frustrating.

Mobster, lip syncs and landmines.

Here is a old design I had done years ago for a classical lip sync. It didn't pan out back then but like a tommy gun totting pheonix it rises from the ashes reborn in flash.

I still have some tones and highlights to put on him, and then I need to break the character down to a flash build so I can animate him. But at least it's something.

The background matches the color of the shirt which is a BIG no no haha. but I enjoyed doing this. I will update with a finished version later.
