Painting in a digital manner.

Update: I decided to add the original to make this sorta a progression type of thing. I did another pass on everything today. im not sure if I took any step backwards, but color is both fascinating and incredibly difficult. If I was smart I would research some coloring tutorials. maybe after im done. I think I wont update again till im finished. we will see.



I borrowed a buddies WACOM tablet. something that actually works. and I started fooling around in photoshop. I really enjoyed myself, this is of course a work in progress, but when I started doing the background and messing around with different brushes and stuff I really started enjoying myself. Making a attempt at the character is step number two. I have no clue what im doing, but i am loving it. I hope th is image is big enough. anyway...........

A monster, some color. and equipment Woes

Color YAY!!!!!!. I went out and bought some water colors last weekend, been looking forward to experimenting. I feel like the artistic equivilant of a 21 year old college girl on spring break.

The castle thing was my very first attempt, trying to do some gradient cloud stuff. it failed. but thats ok. The monochromatic monster guy I like. I think Im going to fill the rest of the watercolor book with weird creations like this guy.

The heavy grays in the two pics is casue my scanner isnt a flatbed, so the raised lip causes those greys. I swear sometimes the world seems to be trying to beat me down. I do have the worse luck with technology. Someday I will get my shit straight but untill then it painting and aniamting the old school way.

Dear Tooya I HATE YOU!

So after 3 weeks of playing email tag with Tech support people from around the world from China to Canada I got a asnwer from the Tooya people about my tablet. They have no clue whats wrong with it, and wont return my money. I dont know what else to do the feeling of being blantely ripped off and receiving no support from the Tooya people pisses me off to no ends. In hopes of not having this post turn into a all out bitch fest I will say one last thing here.

Tooya you got my 250 dollars, but to anyone that reads this post know that this is a poor company with a poor product and even worse tech support, they dont care about what they sell or who buys it as long as they get your money. if you are in the market for a tablet buy anything else other then Tooya.

with that said, who wants a 250 dollar paper weight?
